System freeze in Windows XP
« on: October 17, 2007, 04:47:02 PM »

I have a DWA-642 -- I have reinstalled the drivers multiple times, and end up with the device freezing my computer.  I uninstall the driver and reinstall and it works for a while, but then, more freezing.  I had an old Dlink driver in for a G card and I uninstalled that thinking that might be the problem.  It worked for a little while, then freezing.

Any adivce????

Check to see if you have all possible Windows updates by using a wired connection first, then try other USB ports on the computer if possible.  If you have any other computers to test with you may want to see if it still happens on another computer, and if so the adapter may need to be replaced.

Are you using the latest drivers from the support site?
