The ShareCenter series formats hard drives (HDDs) using the Linux filesystem. As such, Windows formatted HDDs are not recognizable by the ShareCenter series. HDDs formatted on a Linux PC may be recognized by the ShareCenter, but this compatibility is not guaranteed. Although not guaranteed, Linux formatted HDDs are more likely to work properly when configured as a Standard Volume rather than JBOD or RAID.
