Manually choosing Channel
« on: June 25, 2017, 01:11:12 AM »

Does this extender always use the same channel for clientside communication as for uplink communication?
It seems to me that at the point, where the extender is located, a different channel for client-communication would be much better than the channel that is already used for the uplink.
I did not find a configuration item to change that.

Link>Welcome!

  • What Hardware version is your DAP? Look at the sticker under the DAP.
  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the DAPs web page under status.
  • What region are you located?

Any extender or repeater uses channels set and used by the source wifi, i.e. router or other wireless AP. You can only change channels while in AP mode.
