868L with dir 655?

Hi guys, is it possible to use my  old dir 655 with my dir 868l so in some way extends the wireless signal from first floor to second floor?

Absolutely true but as a second acces point, it will miss the 5GHz band in that area if the 5GHz of the 868 is not powerfull enough !
