How to Reset Easy Utility Password on DNS-321?
« on: October 25, 2009, 01:14:34 PM »

I did my firmware update today from version 1.00 to 1.03.  The firmware update installed without a hitch.  I can still access all of my files on the DNS-321 within Windows Explorer, however, the Easy Utility will not let me login to amend my configuration.  On some occasions it states "Incorrect Username or Password" and on others it says "You Must Be an Administrator".

I have never changed the default login username, which is "Admin" nor have I changed the password, which by default, is left empty.  I am the Administrator.

I am using the retail build of Win7 with IE 8.

Thanks.

Kill the Easy Utility and login to the web configuration on the DNS-321 directly.  I've never loaded that utility for either of my NAS boxes.
