DNS-343
« on: October 15, 2015, 03:46:29 PM »

Does DNS-343 work with Apple Computers?  Have 8TBs and can't seem to get it to work. Had this since 2010 and never used because of setting up problems.   DLink's third party support is the pits as they seem to know less then I.

Thanks,

Simple answer - yes, but it does depend on how you do it.

First up, what version of OSx are you using?  How do you want to connect? What have you tried, SMB, FTP, etc.?

Some time ago Apple changed something in OSx that changed AFP.   This caused many NAS boxes (not just D-Link) to not work with TimeMachine.

We have a client that always connects to our public 343 via FTP from his Apple machine without any problems so I know it can be done.

Anyway a bit more information does help us help you.  A little info on your network could also be a help.
