DNS-345 - Transmission Add-On - Fatal Error
« on: May 06, 2013, 09:52:11 AM »

Have any DNS-345 owners encountered the following error while working with torrents using Transmission?

  • No space left on device (/mnt/HD/HD_NaN2/Transmission/[torrent_filename_listed here...]

Replicating error

My Transmission client worked without issue for months until this issue started. Now the issue recurs 100% of the time when adding torrents. Volume_1 contains > 2.5 TB of free space:

  • Add new torrent to Transmission
  • Error appears on the Transmission client torrent entry: No space left on device (/mnt/HD/HD_NaN2/Transmission/[torrent_filename_listed here...]
  • DNS-345 becomes completely unresponsive:  UI not accessible and data volumes are not accessible
  • Must perform hard reset (pull power cord) to reestablish access and control over the unit

I see some strange variable error in your config that may occure this.
NaN - meens not a number. Try to reinstall Transmission addon. If you have ssh access to DNS345  try to change complete folder manually.

Thanks for sharing your observation, I will try reinstalling the app. BTW - I take it that you have installed the app and never encountered this issue? I bring this up because I'm not the only DNS-345 user encountering this problem. Users of the DNS-325 version of the app are also experiencing the same problem.
