Title: Cannot create folder named .bin
Post by: kain_pl on May 14, 2015, 10:03:11 AM
Hello.
When I try to create my DNS-345 folder named .bin via network I get the error "The folder has not been created."
When connected via SSH, folder is created, but can not see it on the network, it seems hidden.
Can any help me with this?

p.s. Sorry for my English, my native language is Ukrainian.

,BIN is a hidden system folder and as such you shouldn't be able to see it with normal operating system file browsers (you may be able to set the OS to show hidden files and folders).

The question is why would you want to make such a folder in the first place?

The ShareCenter has several reserved names (besides .bin) that can't be used by end-users to create new directories and files.
