Hi there,
the firmware has a bug, or at least a miscommunicated feature.
I first bought the DCS-936L, it worked fine, except that, even with UPnP disabled, it was publishing port forwarding on the router.
I called support and they told me to return it to the shop and get a new that, that's what I did.
After a while struggling with the issue I've seen that's because it's connected to the mydlink service, is there a way to disabled that without deleting the mydlink account?
If I reset the camera and use it without the mydlink online service, it works fine, no published ports

You can remove the device and association from the MDL account.

I was installing the camera and it asked to update the firmware. I did it and canīt get it back to work. And there is no wire cable to do the setup again. Iīve tried to press the reset button several times, but the camera seems dead. Any ideas?
-
Any status on this? ???

What version did you have loaded before?
You can downgrade to see if there is a difference.

the 1.02.01
-
So what version of FW are you experiencing choppiness in the video?
This thread is for v1.01. Newer version of FW is v1.02 and is open for posting here:
http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=65866.0 (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=65866.0)
Prior version to v1.01 is v1.00.
-
the 1.02 the video is no longer fluid it worked fine on 1.01 ill try to take it back to the 1.01 and see if it goes back to good video
-
What browser or app are you using?
Let us know how it goes.
-
i tried safari, chrome, and the dlink lite app the video is not recording fluidly even if i take out the sd card and view it. i get perfect audio say if the tv is on but the video doesnt match it
-
Lets try downgrading to v1.01 then.
-
that did it its working perfectly again with the downgrade. What i notice when viewing the info for the stream is the new firmware wouldn't maintain the 30fps it would drop to 4 or 5 fps then jump back up. The old firmware which i just put back on it maintains the 30 fps

Ok. I'll try and let D-Link know about this.
Thank you for letting us know. ;)
