Increased bandwidth and router slowed down
« on: February 24, 2016, 07:24:01 AM »

Hello I'm new here :)

I have the same Dlink DIR-655 REV A4 FW 1.37EU with the same issue. Starting of this month i got my internet connection upgraded to 1000/1000Mbit and it worked fine for a little month now, but now i only get 147Mbit down and 97Mbit up with QoS enabled. If Disabled QoS I get 222Mbit down and 238Mbit up.

As i have could run 1000/1000Mbit for about a month says to me that it can handle that kind of speeds :P

Link>Welcome!

Unfortunately no, those ISP speeds exceed what the DIR-655 can handle.

Also please review:
WAN and LAN Connection Rates and ISP Speeds FAQ

Best thing you could do is to use the 655 as a wired AP:
Turning a router into an AP.
