Stream music to an Airport Express
« on: January 27, 2011, 01:32:12 PM »

Hi folks, I have the following configuration at my home network:

1. PC running Windows 7 connected to LAN port 1 of a DIR-615
2. Apple Airport Express wireless connected to my home WIFI Network as a client

I canīt stream music from I-Tunes to the Airport. The I-Tunes recognizes the Airport but the connection to the remote speakers is refused.

After a lot of troubleshooting I found that the problem only occurs when the PC running I-Tunes is connected to a LAN port and the Airport is connected wirelessly

In case PC and Airport are WIFI connected it works, as well when both are connected through LAN Ports.

I checked with different Airports, PCs and OS, so the source of the problem should be the router or its configuration.

Seems that the router is unable to transform the stream from LAN port to WIFI and viceversa

I checked the firewall rules of the router and everything seems fine, I do not use firewall

I did a lot of google research but couldn't find the way to solve this.

Your help would be greatly appreciated!!
