Thanks for the additional info.

On a different note, I'm thinking of upgrading my cable modem to the ARRIS/Motorola SB6183.  I'm currently using the Motorola SB6121.  Anyone have any input on the ARRIS/Motorola SB6183??  Thanks

Whats your ISP support for channel bonding? That may dictate what you get. If they only support 4x4 or 8x4 then keep what you have. The 6183 seems to due 16x16 I think. I presume it will be a good modem. I hope.  Not a fan of Arris and was disappointed they bought Motorolas modem division.

I think it's 8x4.  I'll keep what I have.  I'm not a fan of ARRIS either.

The 6121 is a good modem too. I have the 6180 and I think it's 8x8 and I only set 8x4 from my ISP.

Just hope Arris doesn't hose up the SB series and keeps with good Motorola design for future.

I changed the 2.4 GHz wireless radio back to AUTO 20/40 MHz on both the 5500 and 868L last night.  My wireless speeds have stayed consistent (45 down / 1.95 up) and are very close to wired speeds when running a speed test.

I also was able to find the Motorola SURFboard SB6180 on Amazon for $43.  Just after I ordered it, I got a reply from a buyer on eBay that he accepted my bid of $39.99 for the Motorola SURFboard SB6180.     So now I'll have two of them.  It's always good to have a "back up" modem, right?    

I might return the modem I bought from Amazon.
