support for BPG image format
« on: February 26, 2015, 05:45:56 AM »

If dlink cameras could save in bpg format then the following could be a reality
    • lots of disk space could be saved
    • (definitely) superior image quality compared to jpg and gif

    Comparision:
BPG/JPEG comparison on the Lena picture (note that bpg is decoded in browser)

BPG is opensource and created by the person who also created FFMPEG and QEMU

You might phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask them about adding support for this file format. This would let them know of your interest and hopefully they would review the information and maybe consider adding it as a feature at some point.
