The camera makes these clicking, or almost shutter type sounds when actively viewing. Absolutely freaks my dog out. Is there any way to make the camera quiet when using it. Also, from a practical security standpoint, if someone is in my house when I'm not there, I don't want them hearing the dang camera do it's thing only to have them go over and grab it and steal it too. That's one reason I have it in the first place. Any help on this would be most appreciated.

- What Hardware version is your DCS? Look at the sticker behind or under the camera.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the DCSs web page under status.
- What region are you located?
What Mfr and model is the main host router?
What wireless modes are you using?
What is the distance between the Camera and the main host router?
How are you viewing the video, from a web browser on a PC or mobile app while at home or from a remote location.
Happen with both PC and mobile apps?
Do you have the Nightvision set to Auto? Can try setting it to Day mode only and test.

All is up to date and the camera is great. I do know that the camera is set to AUTO for night/day vision. It may be making that noise when it shifts from night to day mode. I'll try your suggestion tonight.

You can log into the cameras web page at the IP address given to it by the main host router. Look at the routers connected client table to see the address given to the camera.

If you are actively viewing, and it makes the sound, do you not see it changing day/night? : ???

It's unplugged right now so no way to connect unless I call the dog and have her plug it in for me!!! LOL! Woof!
I'll just have to check it this evening after I power it back up.
