Hi,
after disabling P2P (otherwise the unit will not goes to hibernate) the P2P folder (with its content and subfolders) has vanished.
I've just upgrade to firmware 2.01.
-
That's weird - I had the same thing happen to a folder, and I haven't even upgraded to the beta firmware nor used the P2P features/settings. These sort of occurences don't build confidence in storing important data on these units as that should never be something that can happen.
Do you have another NAS that does a scheduled remote backup to the unit in question? Did you leave the "ignore existing files" option unchecked?

i just installed 2.02 firmware , and he shows that he is downloading p2p files, but there is no p2p folder anywhere? is there any solution ?

Thanks Karsten it worked !
Now i can see p2p folder :)

Weird. So you enable encryption and the P2P directory disappears? Who is making this software? Grad school students?
Why not install Transmission anyway, much much better Torrent software!
http://www.shadowandy.net/2009/01/transmission-142-for-dns-323.htm for details.

I can't see or access the P2P folder through windows exporer. Encryption was enabled by default when I first activated P2P but de-activating it and even restart now and I still can't see it. Can only see and access it via the web server files application. Any way to display/access in windows explorer?
Edit: nevermind, I was looking in volume_1 but it is showing up as a seperate share under network.

Correct. From the end-user perspective, the P2P folder behaves as a separate volume from Volume_1.

Same problem here. I already mentoined this before and this was going to be addressed in this firmware! Apperently not.
So guys from D-Link, see my e-mail support question: Case Number 642345
