DCS-920 Wireless Update02
« on: September 04, 2010, 06:09:01 AM »

Well just got off the phone with Frank the tech and it seems that the 920 can't see the router wirelessly but the router can see the 920 in the client table.  So he said that there is no level 3 tech available at this time and to call back at 12:30 pacific time.  I'm on the east coast so that means 3:30 my time.  I will post after just before the call and after the call with the outcome.

I have similar problem here. With linksys WRT400N, and WPA2 with AES,  cam cannot connect with wireless, but router can see the CAM.  cam can connect by ethernet port. Previously when I use WPA with TRIP, it can connect with wireless.

I have a 920 connected wirelessly via a NetGear WNDR3700v2 at 2.4 GHz.  I had no problems at all.

One thing to check is that the name you gave the 2.4GHz network in the router matches the network name you give the D-Link Setup Program.

I originally had the 920 operating wirelessly on a Cisco E-3000 router.  For technical reasons I had to change to a Netgear.  Since I couldn't remember the network name I gave the Cisco router I just made up a new name for the NetGear router.  I didn't think it mattered but I found out otherwise.  Until I changed the network name in the D-Link software to match the new NetGear network name the Camera would connect wirelessly.

Just an idea anyway.......
