DI 804 HV vpn and multicast
« on: April 21, 2011, 10:55:22 AM »

Hello,

I’ve established a ipsec VPN connection between two DI 804 HV. The connection is established and works very well. Apparently, di 804 hv allows the multicast lan --> wan but not wan --> lan. And it is this that causes me problems .... I will explain why and what is my target.

I want to connect 2 remotes home automation. To do that, there are IP modules that make the interface between the communication bus of home automation and ethernet network. The problem is that this module uses an IP multicast address to send telegrams bus to the IP network. If home automation are on the same subnet there are no problems: the IP module sends his telegrams and other IP module interfacing with the same multicast address will receive the telegram and send it on their bus .

I want a trick that would allow me to pass the multicast wan --> lan.

Thank you very much.
