Connect to DSL-2320b modem on other side of DIR-655?

I can't connect to the management interface of my DSL-2320b DSL modem. Maybe this is because it is "on the other side of" my DIR-655 router, and the router does not see it as part of my home network?

The DSL modem and the router each have a different preassigned, fixed 192.168.x.x IP address. I can manage the router just fine. How can I configure things so that I can also manage the modem?
