v.1.34NAb03 & Torrent always reboot.
It is not a problem with settings but firmware.
Why they do not fix it?

they say they caan not fix things they are not able to reproduce in their labs and quantify the problems for the firmware programmers....

That has probably been one of the biggest problems with this unit, if you look at the big picture, you must point at quality control in the manufacturing processes.

My A2 may run fine and stable, but Billy's down the street may have been problematic from the day he brought it home.....

Let Alone the several other hardware versions they have produced now....

I will never buy dlink product anymore.

It is really easy to made this same environment and situation in lab as I have at home. Just download torrents that is all.
Without torrents 14 days stable work, with torrent few hours, sometimes minutes.

Mine runs fine even if I run torrents 24/7.

Running 1.34b3 firmware now but ran fine even before this firmware.

Hi,

I the FW version still always reboot, it recognize my 2 wireless laptop ( xp and windows 7) BUT it can't find my wired main pc (XP). I'm really getting tired of a router that reboot all the time. i tried 1.32, 133 and still no help.

Plz fixed up and find a solution!

Best regards

Turn off QOS? I bought this router for this function. I have VoIP,WWW server, FTP server and much more, without QOS network is overloaded. Where is the point to buy more expensive hardware with extra function if I can not use them?
After years with this same problem I see no reason why I should buy dlink in the future, and expect that perhaps in 5-6-7 years perhaps they fix it. It is problem with firmware not settings, you can fix a bit with settings but it is no a point. Better result than turn-off QOS you may expect limiting upstream by 15-25%.

Dynamic Fragmentation caused my QOS to mess up. Ever since I turned it off my skype phone and internet stopped slowing down, even when I download crazy torrents with thousands of connections like Lost. Before that my DirecTV receiver was also causing some weird problems when I Enable Multicast Streams for windows to recognize the receiver.

some folks have suggested you shut down any IPv6 connections on any LAN pc's....  This is moreso with Vista and Win7 pc's....

Hmm, that is not a true, 655 do not support any IP6 package, no difference if on/off. Any way I have no support IPv6 on any of my clients. No need ,no reason to have.
However I made some extra test turning-off web address filtering, after at least 7 days without reboot I let you know if it help. Right now it looks promising after 36h.

OK, can someone of you test it.

Turn on "website filter" exactly as I have.

Do not forget to turn on "Enable Access Control" My alias is "WWW" settings :
(ON)
Always
Other Machines
Block Some Access
Apply Web Filter

Now start torrent. If router reboot (wait some hours(24h at least),turn off torrent client , turn on), try your own settings.(addresses,configuration).

In my case 110h without reboot.Perhaps website filter cause it. Perhaps there is a bug and it must be turn off when router is heavy load.

Thanks for the tip on turning off Dynamic Fragmentation... it was the last tweak to get my Access Control working!  :D

I test website filter and this service is responsible for rebooting in my case. It can not handle high load.

DF is very important feature, I do not recommend to turn-off it. Unless you have one or just two clients. In my case ~10 clients and upload is very often load in 100%. without DF response is very low on web pages and other small applications like IM,VOiP etc. are very unstable.

I would like to know if someone of you test my settings? I would be very useful to know if this case reboot on yours 655es.
