Title: 1.34NA - Long login time on Win7
Post by: fatboy on June 05, 2010, 08:28:29 PM
I just updated a few days ago to 1.34 (official from here, not beta).

I don't notice much different behavior, but one, let me explain:

I am on ADSL, modem and router (DIR-655) are always on.

When I start Win7, or awake Win7 from stand-by, I have no internet connection. Windows shows the '!' sign in the connection area, when I connect to the router via Firefox I get the "The gateway is currently measuring your network connection" screen. After 20 or so seconds the router will connect and works fine.

Why is that? Is there anything I can do about it?

That's the QOS thing doing the automatic check of your uplink speed.  It can be turned off or set manually of the QOS page in the Advanced settings.
