Hi, I have been using the DSL 224 router for some time now, but wanted to ask if there was any update for the latest firmware available? Because I could not locate it on the website's support section.
The current version that my router is running is : Firmware Version: AT_1.11

Is this modem a retail unit or one given by your ISP?

Hi, Im in India. I bought it myself, not through ISP.

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.

So recently the modem started throttling speed, at first I thought it was a problem with my ISP so I called them up and got all my wiring and stuff redone. But that also didn't help. Still experiencing the slow ping rates and throttling of speeds. So finally my ISP had advised me to contact the manufacturer of the router and update the firmware..

Are you wired or wireless when speed testing and checking things out?
You can run thru this and see if any of these items might help:

I would look at disabling QoS, firewall, IPv6 settings and testing LAN wired with a PC.
Be sure your PC has any security software disable temporarily while testing.
Disable and turn OFF ALL other devices from the modem accept for the PC.
Use different browsers like IE11, FF or Opera to compare results.

Yes, I've tried it all, troubleshooting guides also. Wireless and Wired both but same results. ISP told me last thing I can try is updating the firmware otherwise I'll just have to buy a new one from Linksys.

I presume if your regional office doesn't have any other newer versions of FW, and this seems to be a problem after your troubleshooting, It maybe faulty. Might ask support for an RMA if something like this is available. If not, then I guess it would need to be replaced.

Regional office also recommends updating the Firmware but they told me find it on the website in support section, which I couldn't find hence came here. So if you have it let me know otherwise I'll just dump this one.

Ya it's not listed on there site and it's not sold here in the USA. Sounds like support doesn't know what there doing.
I guess you need to get another...sorry about that.
