Yea, it has been a while huh? By the way, do you know Java programming or is does your name refer more to the liquid refreashment? Heh. I was working on this thread and would like your input on it. I was thinking of making a Greasemonkey script for it. Thoughts?

Both actually. . . The name came about from coffee (aka "liquid refreshment"), but took on the second meaning later on. Today, what little programming I do is more focused on VB scripting.

You know considering all the customer equipment (modems, MTA's, cable boxes) are either Arris, Motorola, or Cisco you would think they would be ok profit wise. But seems everyone is selling the brands like hot cakes. Motorola sold Motorola, Cisco bought Scientific Atlanta, but is now selling Linksys, bought by Arris possibly, but now Arris might be being bought by someone else?

I see that Arris wants the Home division of Motorola. I really hope they don't acquire that. Motorolas models are great. They don't need to be changed by Arris.  >:(

Why has the price of the DIR-657 dropped sooo drastically? Started 169, Is 40$, or even 30$ with a coupon, and now its 20$? There has to be something wrong with it if there trying to sell them off for 20$. Is there some kind of bug? From the reviews, some kind of issue with the wireless cutting out?

??? Not sure, maybe a supply that didn't get sold.

I had 2 of these routers, both worked great when I was using them. Helped some people with setup problems and the normal WiFi stuff. Nothing major seen. Even tested with 3 xboxes playing online all at the same time. Pretty solid router for what it is IMO.

I have one away as a b-day present last year. He loves it.

Well I just bought one. Thanks for the tip. If nothing else it would make a emergency back up or something to give to a friend.

Yep, good backup or gifts. Karl re-acquired one too. LOL.

Out of the one things I don't say very often, do a FW update when you get it if it doesn't already have v1.01. There was one bug that was fixed. It would hang on the UI for some reason. Was noticed by a few others. Was fixed and verified fixed with v1.01. Solid after that.  ;)

If anyone reports a latency problem with WoW it is a known problem. Seems to be a issue in one of datacenters for Cogent (ATT) in Cleveland where alot of WoW servers go through. Its effecting many ISP's and a large amount of people. No ETR at this time but from experience it usually takes them at-least a week to resolve so we might see some people coming here thinking it's their router.

For more info see this thread.
