Sorry for the slight off-topic post: I am using a 3GPP phone with RealPlayer but it does not support user authentication.

1. My DCS-5220 is working fine accessing the camera from the Internet to the home LAN. IE will prompt for userid and password

2. When I use Nokia E51 (Symbian S60v3) RealPlayer it works if I disable user authentication; if user authentication is enabled there is no prompt for username/password (rtsp://mycamera/ep-live.3gp) and connection fails.

Does anyone have suggestion for Symbian S60v3 (Nokia E51) that can support rtsp:// with user authentication. (I have heard of CorePlayer but apparently that does not support user authentication - need to wait for v2.0 http://forum.corecodec.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=2602).

Try:

rtsp://username:password@mycamera/ep-live.3gp

At least this is how it works with VLC on iPhone and Mac.
