Title: streaming problem with dir-655
Post by: kvshah on August 14, 2009, 09:25:13 AM
i just bought the 655 and noticed some good ( incredible range) and the bad streaming media mp2 and mp4 tends to freeze every 10-20 seconds.  i never had this problem with my previous wireless router a cheap zyxel  but had problem wit the range 100ft away thus the "upgrade" or should i say "downgrade".

i have upgraded firmware 1.32na .   hardware a4
i have no problems streaming using a direct wired connection lan 1000 or 100.
when i try to stream using a several different wireless laptops, even 2 feet away, i get the stuttering every 20 seconds.    they all have the g connection so i put the router on g only mode.

the connection is excellent >90% at 54mb/sec speed.

wlan settings:
802.11 g only
channel width 20mhz
band 1 ( have tried 6 as well)
wish  i have tried enabled and disabled.
wmm and short gi       enabling disabling also tried.

any ideas as to how i can keep it from stuttering the video stream in the wireless mode?

thanks,
keyur

any input is greatly appreciated.
