Opening Ports
« on: January 22, 2010, 09:10:48 AM »

I need the following ports opened for my VOIP Application: 13000-13001,5060-5061,6060-6061 (UDP), so what I did was go to the Port Forwarding section and filled in the appropriate fields.  However, it does not open the ports.

I disconnected the router (dir-601) and connected my computer directly to the internet and the VOIP Application worked, and the ports were OPEN.

However, when I plug in the router, the ports are blocked even though I told it not to.

Does anyone know the solution to this?

I use port forwarding all the time and it works.

Except for filling in information you should also check the box on the left to enable this forwarding.

I decided to call tech support and after 1.5 hours of talking to tech support level 1 and 2, they couldn't find out the problem.  So they transferred me to level 3, and he was able to do a new firmware flash, that is not available on the website because it is still in testing according to the guy at level 3 and that fixed my problem.
