My 4s seems to be working on my 655 B1 v2.10 w guest zone set to WPA2 and AES only. Typed this message from the 4s. Im using mixed G and N mode.

OK, I think I see the problem. I see if I leave the Settings window open, that the WIFI name changes to Not Connected every 15 seconds. Also I notice that I can't download any updates to the apps on the phone either. Hmmm.

Ok, when I change to no security I can't get the 4S to connect at all however I can connect with my Mac Book Pro however disconnects shortly after. When I had WPA2 and AES only, the MBP would not connect at all.

Can anyone else verify this and also can any one else test this with v2.03 or v2.07 and let us know if they see the same thing if they have one of these versions loaded currently?

Possible problem with Guest Zone here.  :o

Ok, so I finally got a moment with the 655 and Guest Zone, I did a reset on the router to see if maybe this might clear this up. It didn't. So I downgraded to v2.07 and this version doesn't exhibit bad behavior with GZ.

So I'll recommend anyone using or attempting to use Guest Zone and seeing connection problems and if your router is loaded with v2.10, please downgrade to v2.07 or v2.03.

Please factory reset, downgrade using the .bin file for the version of FW your trying to downgrade, after the file is sent and the router reboots, do one more factory reset, then configure the router. Guest Zone works after that.

I have forwarded this on to DLink.

If your concerned about this version, please phone contact DLink support and advise them of this issue that has been verified here. The more visibility we present them the sooner they will review it and fix it.

Thank you.

Alex, did you phone in to DLink support yet, if not, please do, ask for level 2 or higher.

Please keep us posted on any thing they say.

Ok, v2.07NA works as well.
If you ever get some time, please call in regards to the v2.10NA problem

Enjoy.

Been reading some reviews and one big complaint among users is that 2.10 also degrades wireless performance. Most people say that 2.03 has the best wireless performance. Any truth to this?

Currently isn't not recommended to use v2.10NA at this time. I have passed the bug on to DLink and hopefully it will be fixed. Recommended versions to use is v2.03 or v2.07.

That would have been nice to know beforehand, Youtube and google have been extremely unstable since the upgrade, I tried connecting my modem directly to my pc and all was good, so it's definitely the firmware.

I read somewhere that you can't downgrade the firmware, but in this thread someone says otherwise, I'll try it right now, luckily if I brick it, I have 2 secondary routers I can use.

Was there a reason you upgraded in the first place? We recommend here that any one not having any problems with there routers, that they don't upgrade unless they are effected by what is fixed and noted in the release notes for FW upgrades.

Let us know how it goes after you down grade.

Just bought the router with 2.10NA installed and used guest zone.  When I encounter the problem, both the regular and guest zone becomes unavailable.  Wired computers continue to work fine.  Router has to be reset in order to see both zones. Then problem repeats!!!  I downgraded to 2.07 and now the both wireless zones work.  D-link support was no help.  Has anyone found a magic combination to work?
