D-Link DIR-868L stops Outlook calendar from syncing
« on: March 20, 2017, 09:18:46 AM »

I’m an Outlook user and I have some specific soft for syncing with my iPhone 7. It works fine in my office where I have TPLink router. But it refuses to work within my home network where I have D-Link DIR-868L. I simply cannot sync Outlook calendar with my iPhone in the home network while I can easily do that in my office.

I suppose the problem is in my home router because I have Windows 10 on both PCs and the same version of Akruto as well. I even went through the same syncing steps described on their official website:
http://www.akruto.com/sync-iphone-with-outlook

Could you please help me find a solution for this issue as I don’t want to buy a new router just to make my iPhone sync with Outlook calendar again. This is silly!

Thanks in advance.

Are you syncing over the Internet or local network?

If you have disabled UPnP on the router, you will need to open ports 443 and 54321 (port forward) to the IP address of your phone. If UPnP is enabled, you still may want to open the ports to see if that works.

Is the 868L router connected to a regular modem or is it a modem router?

Do you only have issues with Akruto?

Link>Welcome!

  • What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under the router case.
  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
  • What region are you located?
  • Are you wired or wireless connected to the router?

Internet Service Provider and Modem Configurations
  • What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
  • What ISP Modem Mfr. and model # do you have?

What iOS version are you using on the iPhone?

Yes, I only had issues with Akruto. And yes, opening 443 port helped!
Thank you!
