Event and System Logs
« on: August 02, 2016, 06:13:06 AM »

Hello everybody,

Purchased this cam (FW v. 1.03.05) from Amazon IT a few days ago.
No problems when setting it up (I easily did by choosing WPS option on DIR-890L router and cam).

I'm currently testing it (especially the motion detection feature, which seems quite weird; but I'll come back later with this).
Cam configuration page, at SETUP -> Event Log, just shows refresh. Is there a way to clear the event log as is for all other DLINK cameras?

Instead, it appears that the System Log clears itself at every reboot.

Looking forward to your feedback.
Cheers

Might look at the user manual to see if there is any information regarding this. You have have to do a reboot of the camera to clear the logs if there isn't any clear log button feature seen in the UI.

Thanks FurryNutz for replying.

The manual doesn't mention anything about clearing the Event Log. Rebooting the cam doesn't help either (reboot instead clears the System Log).
But I've just found out that the log keeps up to 100 events, meaning that the older ones are deleted when the newer are recorded.
I need other owners to confirm this.
If true, the manual needs updating.

Ok. I'll pass this on to D-Link for review.
