Title: DCS-2330L is triggered all the time in spite of settings.
Post by: tbnz on February 27, 2020, 06:45:53 PM
MY camera has taken to recoding 20secs of video every 20secs, whatever settings I have. I can have motion detection checked/not checked, PIR ditto. It makes no difference. MY SD card is just getting filled with hundreds of 20-sec clips.

I suspect I'm missing something obvious, but I don't know what.

Any ideas?

Hard to say with out specifics.

Is sensitivity too high?

PIR behind a window is a big problem.

Is their shadows?
DO you have to whole image painted red?

The thing is is that it seems to be doing it even if I have motion and PIR both turned off in motion detection setup.

Have you factory reset the camera then setup from scratch?

What FW version is currently loaded on the camera?

A factory reset seems to have fixed it, although I'll wait a few hours before celebrating.  :)

It would be nice to know why it went haywire though.

Thanks for the advice.

Glad it's working again.

Enjoy.  ;)
