Hello,

I just wanted to add a +1 on this topic.  I also own this device, and would absolutely love to get it working under Linux (and specifically, Ubuntu 9.10).  I have searched the internet high and low, and it seems there is substantial confusion about what approach will get this thing working.

Has anyone out there managed to accomplish this?  I really would be grateful for any suggestions.

And to the D-link folks: Please (continue to...) show some love to us Linux users!  We can influence the decisions of others, as witnessed by the massive success of the Linksys WRT54G/GL, for example.  My not-so-technically-inclined-family owns 3 of those.  Open drivers (and device documentation!) will keep your products in the hands of tons of folks.

Thank you.  Best regards,

Dave.

You may want to search here for Linux/Win /MAC drivers:

RT2870 and RT307x use the same driver for Win but seems not for Linux.
