HTTP Downloads

I am currently using the http download add on to download a file daily.

When selecting the rename option, Is there anyway to rename the file using variables or something to add the current date into the file name?

i have tried %d% and %d for the day number but no joy. Can this be done at all?

I can't say for sure it doesn't work, but I haven't had any luck, either.
