Was wondering if D-Link or anyone has heard when the new Firmware is coming out. There hasn't been a new Firmware for over a year. I know there has been new cameras and they are not listed in the list of cameras on the DNR. I have to choose one that is similar. Also hoping that the new firmware will make the ONVIF work better. D-link is usually good about Firmware, please don't be Linksys.

- What Hardware version is your DNS? Look at the sticker behind or under the device.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the DNSs web page under status.
- What region are you located?
Are you having problems with your DNR?
-
It's the DNR-322L, with version 2.40.b03. I have new cameras that are not listed in the list of available cameras. Also the open ONVIF protocol doesn't seem to work on other cameras, I'm hoping the new Firmware will add the new cameras and that the ONVIF will properly. Located in the US.
-
I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. It seems about due for another update. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.

I can try that, but I did contact them via email about a month ago and they were like not yet keep checking. So I decided to post it on here in the hopes that someone might know something.
-
Phone is the best way to get immediate information and help. We don't get update schedule information here. I try to keep users up to date on what I find on the main site is about it as it gets posted there. For the most part this needs to be handled by D-Link support and engineering as the FW needs to be reviewed.
-
Has anyone been given any information on a FW update drop for the 322? Has D'Link officially dropped support?
-
Are you experiencing problems with current FW?
I haven't heard anything. It's not listed as being not supported either.
-
The main thing is there are several new cameras that are not listed and also I'm hoping the ONVIF will work with the new version. I've seen other post that talk about an ONVIF supported camera not working on the DNR-322L system
-
I know it's been a year and some now. They maybe working on it. I don't know for sure.
I would do this, submit a email ticket to support for the 322L and included all information about the cameras and include this forum thread as see if you get any response. Or get on the phone with them and talk to someone.
Can you use a generic menu item in the 322L to add cameras that are not preset in the UI?
-
I've done that and they basically tell me how to setup on the DNR-322L and won't help beyond that. Basically they say it supports it and it must be the camera. I know others have had the same issue with other cameras.
I have used a generic camera to get the new dlink cameras working, but they should have the others in there sooner than later.
-
Only think I can think of is to submit tickets under each camera and see. Seems like it takes two to tango for this DNR and both cameras and DNR need updates. Specially the DNR. I wish I could help more.
-
I understand and thanks. I'm just playing the waiting game, I have the other camera connected to my NAS for the time being until I can get it to work on the DNR. The other camera is already current as of 8/16 just need the DNR and maybe it will work.

You are right, I have already seen this and I have the A version. I can't win for losing :)
-
I recommend if there isn't any camera support, I would contact D-Link support on the phone and ask them about it. Maybe they can add support.

I haven't heard anything. You might phone contact them and ask.
-
I've contacted the sales, technical support and they keep giving me the run around and a standard canned answer of "Unfortunately, Technical Support does not know if/when firmware will be released. Once available, it will be listed on our support site or the mydlink support site."
-
I guess keep checking. I'll see if I can dig some. No promises.
-
Just wanted to check in and see if you have heard anything the last thing I finally got about 2 months ago was it was in testing but haven't seen anything.
-
Nothing so far. Sorry. :-\

been waiting almost 2 years now for a firmware update for this POS
these 960l cameras are great but useless when the DNR-322L can't record sound with them
i have called d-link phone support every month same day on the dot, they don't help any time and just say they are "working on it" ... working on it for almost 2 years now..
is there a 1080p wide view camera that DNR-322L will work with?
-
Ok, so I was told that users should download and install the Device Pack for the 322L Rev A. I guess it supports the DCS-936L and 960L.
No other FW updates planned at this time for Rev A.

Thanks for letting me know. I wish D-Link support wouldn't have lied to me, 2 Months ago they said they were testing it and didn't know when it would be released. I knew of the device pack which I have already done, but I'm sure there are security fixes and other enhancements that need to be made. Maybe you can relay to them. Overall support for Firefox version 52 and higher, edge browser and I'm sure there are others out there as well. Also, I'm sure there is ongoing security patches that have to be done as well.
Again thanks for checking and letting me, I'm grateful you are honest with me and don't BS anything.
-
Are you able to connect the 322L with your cameras?
Are you using the ESR version of FF?
-
I am using the ESR, but it would be nice not to have to use that. It's ok short term but long term I think they need to resolve it, just my opinion. I keep checking to see when they will post an update.

That issue has to do with Mozilla not supporting some add-ons anymore. So even though D-Link does the add-ons, if Mozilla or Google don't support them in there newer version of browser, then kind of hard for D-Link to so anything I presume. I guess that other options should be looked at as we go forward. ::) I don't know what those could be.
