Unusual Connection Issue!
« on: August 23, 2012, 04:32:15 AM »

I have a new D150 Wireless N USB adapter. Installation is fairly simple. Network was recognized and wireless adapter shows it is connected BUT I still have no internet connection. The network map shows a big red X between the internet and the router, BUT it is connected, because I have internet service on my desktop which connects to the router and cable modem. Some but not all of my peripheral will connect, such as laptops, Kindle's, and Nooks. What is going on? Is this some kind of security issue. I can't figure it out. HELP.

What region are you located?
Are you wired or wireless connected to the router?
What Make and Model host router do you have?
What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?

What wireless modes are you using on the host router?
Try single mode G or N or mixed G and N?
Channel Width set for Auto 20/40Mhz or try 20Mhz only.
Try setting a manual channel to a open or unused channel. 1, 6 or 11. 11 for single mode N if the channel is clear.
What security mode are you using? Preferred security is WPA-Personal. WPA2/AES Only. Some WiFi adapters don't support AES, so you might want to try TPIK only or Auto.
