It is my understanding that the port would only make a difference in upload speed and that downloading should be greater than 0 regardless.

I'd be more inclined to suspect:
a) an issue with the torrent or tracker
b) a network configuration issue such as an invalid GW address or DNS entry.

Then it defintely sounds like a network configuraiton issue.

Have you set a static IP address from within the range of your internal NAT (but not within the DHCP range)?

Did you set the GW address to the internal router IP?

Did you configure the DNS servers?

the Getaway is 192.168.0.1
and its the same on DNS-323 NAS.

and its on DHCP Client on the DNS-323.
and teh DNS1 & DNS2 its the same as router.

this is very weird because it worked good when i got the DNS-323 and just plugget it in with
Factory reset . ?

and now nothing.. i have the newest FW 1.09 to the DNS-323

thanks for all help =)

and its the same on DNS-323 NAS.

The Gateway setting in the router should not point to itself. The GW setting in the NAS should point to the router.

I'd switch to a static IP address if you are port forwading.

As a test, put the IP of the NAS into a DMZ if you have the option in your router.

You've already proved the problem is actually with your network configuration.
