Adjusting WBR-1310 for use with DSL-2320B
« on: March 24, 2008, 07:53:57 PM »

I recently replaced my supplied DSL modem with the D.Link DSL-2320B.
I changed the router over to dynamic DHCP so the new modem can handle the PPPoE login.
Its working but, there just seems to be a lack of synergy between the two devices.
What can I do to help them get along better.?
Is it possible to have the dsl.2320b allow the wbr.1310 to handle the pppoe and login.?
-shrug- I'm all ears if you know anything to assist me in getting them to be fast and happy.

There is a setting on the modem for 'bridging' that you can set on the 192.168.1.1 page.  Other settings would have to be verified with your provider in conjunction with the 'bridging' mode.  Otherwise, that's it and you can then have the wbr-1310 authenticate using the PPPoE and see what happens.

Thanks for your help.
I may be able to get that done in the morning before systems are in use again.. I have a feeling that it'll clear up the current latency and other issues it's having under the current config.
