Title: cloud sign-in
Post by: id2 on March 12, 2015, 07:44:33 AM
Is anyone else experiencing a problem with DIR-855L, code 1.03b01 (registering the DIR-855L) to myDlink after resetting the router to factory settings?
I have noticed that running code 1.03b01, after factory reset is performed, (which clears all setting to include the MyDlink registration) I am unable to register the device with myDlink.
I have a two workarounds,
1.   is to restore the previous router configuration file (if user has saved it).
2.   downgrade the code, register and then upgrade the code back to 1.03b01.

Internet Service Provider and Modem Configurations

Have you attempted to remove it from the main mydlink.com (http://mydlink.com) web site first, then do a factory reset on the router then try to re-register?

Please follow this for doing any FW updates or downgrades:

Asking for ISP service and modem info is applicable. If the ISP modem has a built in router, it's best to bridge the modem. Having 2 routers on the same line can cause connection problems: Link>Double NAT (http://www.practicallynetworked.com/networking/fixing_double_nat.htm) and How NAT Works (http://computer.howstuffworks.com/nat.htm).

There has been some issues with the MDL service.

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.
