I can find 1.24EU and 1.24NA versions but I can't find a WW version.

Will there be a 1.24WW version?

I live in Australia and I'm currently using 1.23WWb08Beta02.

Is there any (significant) improvements in the 1.24 firmware version?  Any advantage in me upgrading?

Not sure if there will be a WW version. You could try the EU version.
