Looks like the upgrade to 1.08 breaks the local dlink-app connection,
BUT for some reason using VLC still works to view the local stream...

If you want the added security of 1.08 just use VLC to stream the local connection...
Then use the dlink apps to access it remotely until there is an update to fix this.

I used this to stream locally on VLC:  rtsp://admin:xxxxxx@10.10.10.10:554/play1.sdp

(actually I feel like it gets rid of a little sound lag if you ask me... whats that about anyway...)

after upgrades/downgrades and issues with registering to mycloud, i applied the latest publicly from the site.
Current Firmware Version:1.08.01

Current Agent Version:2.1.0-b30

i also cannot see the 825l on the local section of the app, my 932l i can. i can connect it remotely, which is quicker and more convenient, but there still seems to be some issues with the firmware. maybe in a few months another release will happen for an unsupported device. im happy with this for now as it was just a brick on the wall till today.

I think that D-Link is making where the devices FW has to be on the latest to be allowed to connect to the MDL service. I could be wrong.

Could be, at least I can see the 825 on my OWLR app locally but still nothing on the official mydlink lite app, so seems like something needs to get fixed there.

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. I would give them the mydlink device number and reference this forum thread as well. This needs to be reviewed by D-Link support.  We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.

thanks, ill call soon, was just poking to see if someone else has this same issue. Mind you, this camera was dead in the water for even registering it to mydlink prior to this firmware. it works well enough with OWLR local and mydlink remote.

Ok. Ya something maybe borked on the MDL site and with the ID number for your unit. Seen some bad behavior with the site with my DNR-202L. Hope they can fix it.
