DIR-890L unboxing..
« on: December 19, 2014, 08:57:23 AM »

The only difference between the 880L and the 868L is the 2.4Ghz is 600Mb on the 880L where the 868L is 450Mb on 2.4Ghz. The 5Ghz radio is the same speed 1300Mb.
I could throw a monkey wrench in your decision making with this contraption:  ;D

Ya I hope they keep the UI detailed however I think it maybe like the 880Ls UI:
http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=59580.0

Ya, will be interesting to see how it goes. I presume WiFi will be similar to the 880L, however just with one more radio. They split the 5Ghz channels to get two radios. 36-48 for one radio, 149-165 for the 2nd radio.  ::) I think it had Band Steering as well.

I'm holding out for the DIR-895L.   ;D

I can't get rid of the 5500 nor the 868L.  I'd hate to use the DIR-895L just as an AP, but that's what I might have to do!   :)

Red is the new Black:
http://us.dlink.com/products/connect/ac3200-ultra-wi-fi-router/

That's got to use up some major wattage.  I prefer having around 4  hours of battery backup on a UPS for Internet. I don't think that replicator would last 30 minutes in my same setup.  Sure would be nice though. Dam.

May only depend on what the router is doing to. We presume that more the router is doing and operation, the draw maybe more. Still waiting on power specs to be posted.  ::) Is interesting that the power is an external power brick.  :o
