Ok. I don't know what if any other fixes were included in this version. I hope so.
Mines currently in AP mode behind a DGL-4500 router. My iPhones have been working ok so far. I have 4 and a iPad.

Let us know what you find out.

So it appears my issues with SC and my iPhone 6s's is now gone? I can now enable SC with no issues. I only tested it last night by going outside and up on the 3rd floor of the house. But before it would drop right away... Now it stays connected?

SWEET!

Can you please post something about this in http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=65499.75. I'm sure the other users would be interested.

Let us know how it works for you...

I upgraded the firmware yesterday and the router crashed. Dlink is cross shipping my a replacement router as we speak. The frustrating thing here is that this is second router with he same issue (i.e. router turning into a brick after firmware update - last one happened last June). The reason tech support had me upgrade the firmware  yesterday was to correct and issue with visible network devices. I could only see a maximum of 19 of 40 devices in the QoS section even though all 40 devices were operating correctly.

What do you mean by the router crashed?
Are you following the FW update process when upgrading FW? Link> >FW Update Process
When you update, is the router still fully connected to the house network and all clients still connected to it?
What browser are you using when you upgrade FW?
Did you follow this to see if you could recover the router? Emergency Recovery Mode

I have never crashed my router or bricked it...Something is going on in your process I presume.

Dlink tech support instructed me to update the firmware (1.11) to correct my issue described earlier.

I did this via the web interface (under the upgrade section).

The router is fully connected to the house network all clients during the upgrade.

I am using google chrome for the browser.

I performed the factory reset as instructed by Dlink tech support.

This is the second "brick" I have endured with this particular router. It only happens after the firmware update is complete. So I do see the 100% upgrade complete notification but then the power light blinks red continuously (bricked).

First off don't use Chrome, we've need Chrome not handle FW updates well.
2ndly, you need to follow the FW update process linked in my posts to you. This is tried and true working process for upgrading FW on any router.
3rd, please try the recovery process to see if you can get the router back in operation again. Might as well while you wait on the shipping router.
4th, I would try upgrading FW with the router off line from the main network and disconnect ALL clients, wired and wireless while you do the upgrade.

Please review the FW Update process before you start. Use IE11 or FF. DO NOT USE CHROME!!!

Thank you for the tips sir. I will take your advice and report back with details. Interesting that Dlink tech support never asked me what browser I was using. If that's a well known issue, maybe they should ask and recommend the browser to use. I will use FF as I never use IE anymore. Im guessing this is what the real issue is because I used chrome in June and the exact same thing happened with different hardware (router).

The linked FW update process I posted is tried and true and works well for me. What I always use.

I use both IE11 and FF or if I'm on Mac, I use Safari or FF.

You are the champ! This corrected my issue in less than 5 min. using the Recovery Mode instructions and the FF browser. I spent hours on the phone with dlink phone tech support and they couldn't figure it out either time.

If anyone from the dlink tech support team is watching, please add google chrome as a supported browser. This was 100% the problem and a commonly used browser.

Glad you got it working. I presume that Chrome is supported however due to Google constantly updating there browser code, they maybe changing something in there code that's effecting how it handles FW and D-Link FW update process on there routers. This has been going on for years thus why we don't recommend using chrome for any FW updates. It can be used to configure the router. Just no great for the update.

Enjoy.  ;)

I think dlink tech support should at least inform the customer if well known (sounds as if that is the case). Nevertheless, really really appreciate the help and information. Have a great week end!

Support should have at least tried a different browser and used the recovery process. Not sure why they didn't.

Have a good weekend as well.  ;D
