Thanks.

I have noticed that the router is now on Channel 7... before it was on Channel 1.

I logged into my DNR-202L, and my 1 2310L I had on 2.4Ghz which was giving me "connecting" issues, cleared up.
I removed the AP/extender on my 2nd 2310L I had setup, and that cam is now fine on 2.4 Ghz.

So I'm not sure if these are the improvements, or simply the router going to a different channel.  (I had to use WiFi Analyzer as you really can't tell much with Smart Connect enabled).

The security fixes were in v1.07. I guess I miss clicked on the release notes. Those fixes are already in this version as well.

New Features and Improvements seen:
I see that the UI of the QoS section has changed. Two modes of operation now, by Device or by Application. Also Detect ISP speed test. Seems to work. Found 98 and 3 of my 100 and 3 spec.

Also when Application is enabled, there is bandwidth gauges on each device you select in the Clients list. Very nice.

Seems that the clients icon reservation behavior seems to be much improved. Will see if tomorrow a user can rename and reserve IPs with out issue. I reserved about 18 devices so far. I think a notification of reaching 24 reservations should be seen.

FW was installed and router configured using Mac OSX 10.10.5 and Safari.

Thank you D-Link. Please make these same improvements on the DIR-880L/895L. PLEASE.  ::)

Looking good so far. Please post your experiences here.

The ACER laptop I had connected now identifies as "Wistron (ChongQing)" as connected name...  I don't remember that before... (maybe said "Unknown Vendor").. so I googled both of those... ;)    Wistron is the location from what I can tell, and ChongQing is the supplier...

Now after this update my wife's iPhone6s (9.3.5) keeps dropping the Wi-Fi upstairs? If I turn SC off it's ok? Any ideas?

Thanks,

How was the update applied?

Can try disabling SC and test.

I haven't had enough time to see if my iPhone 6P (9.2.1) experiences any issues. So far it's been ok since last nite. I have 2 other wired APs in the house as well.
SC enabled on mine.

I did a hard reset, update via LAN, and hard reset and restored my settings.

Yes that's what I was trying to say if I disable SC it works fine. I just tried doing the firmware again and same problem. Also if you try to manually re connect the iPhone it says wrong password? Or sometimes it will connect only to drop once the phone screen goes black.

Hmmm maybe something wrong with the iPhone?
Is this the only device that seems to be experiencing this issue?
Try forgetting the ssid name of the 890L then reboot the iPhone and try to reconnect while SC is enabled...

No my iPhone 6s was doing it also as the day went on I did some testing. It never did it before with 1.09 FW. I didn't really notice on my phone because I don't use it in bed much, my wife is a different story. So only seems to happen more the further away from the router I go... Although it's still full wifi bars on phone,  my house is only 1700sq ft side-split. And like I said worked on 1.09 so maybe a channel it's picking now?

So I just did what you asked try forgetting the ssid name of the 890L then reboot the iPhone and try to reconnect while SC is enabled... So I will see how it goes tonight. I did try forgetting the ssid name before but I didn't reboot her phone. See what happens...

Thank You,

Ryan

Ok, it's still disconnecting on both iPhone6s phones with SC enabled. This only happens upstairs in my house, however the phone still has full Wi-Fi bars for signal strength.

The phone goes off Wi-Fi... So I go into Settings-->Wi-Fi-->Choose my router and it asks for a password (huh?). I enter it and it connects for 30sec and drops again... I repeat the process and it asks for password again? I tried "Forget This Network", rebooting phone, router, etc... Soon as I disable SC the problem goes away.
