DNR-202L Cannot connect via MyDlink
« on: December 10, 2014, 10:08:52 AM »

Wouldn't be here if it was working. Dlink support has not responded to 2 requests.
Tried a number of things that do work, such as live view of each cam but when I attempt to connect to the DNR I get this error:

Java Plug-in 11.25.2.17
Using JRE version 1.8.0_25-b17 Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM
User home directory = /Users/*******

Missing Application-Name manifest attribute for: https://***.***.1.10/dlink/NvrStreamCom.jar
NVR Stream Player NVR 202L,312L v1.37.8
/Users/*******/nvr/libffcodec.dylib (Operation not permitted) in the specified directory.
/Users/*******/nvr/libavcodec.dylib (Operation not permitted) in the specified directory.
/Users/*******/nvr/libavformat.dylib (Operation not permitted) in the specified directory.
/Users/*******/nvr/libavutil.dylib (Operation not permitted) in the specified directory.
/Users/*******/nvr/libswscale.dylib (Operation not permitted) in the specified directory.

--------------
These files do exist and appear to be in the required directory. I have adjusted the java permissions but no joy.
Tried using firefox and Safari. Firefox worked ONCE then afterward never again.

Using a Macbook pro 4Gb w/OSX 10.10.1, Safari 8.01, Java 8.25 and all the latest FW updates
for the DNR-202L and DCS-5222LB1 (Qty 3).

Thanks,

Similar problem here. Tried same things.  Does not work - at least for Mac users, it seems DNR stands for do-not-resuscitate :(

New DLink user here.  Having a similar problem.  Cameras setup perfectly, but the 202L can't see them.  Trying to log in to the 202L's IP address generates this error:
Can't load library: /Users/me/nvr/libffcodec.dylib.

Tried both Safari and Firefox.

Any help appreciated!

Similar problem here. Registered 202L and can access it locally via IP address but does not show up in mydlink or in mydlink View-NVR and can view live camera remotely but can not access DNR-202L remotely and therefore obviously can not view recorded video from hard drive which defeats the purpose of purchasing and having the DNR.

I am experiencing the same problem - I've configured the device locally, and it appears to be working correctly (can access it via browser from any local machine- recordings and notifications are being handled).  However, after several attempts with two different versions of the d-link activation/configuration tool, it is a no-go.  The device indicates that it is registered with mydlink.com (green icon), but has never been visible there - nor via the "NVR Viewer" app.  I have tried both the Android and iOS ports of the app, and it is no good on either.  This issue needs to be resolved or at least responded to by the manufacturer.   >:(

Out of sheer frustration I put my DNR-202L in a box for more than a year (since the original post in late 2014), then just in the last two weeks go it out and hooked everything up.
I really like my MBP, but it still could not get the install completed, so I got on my supercharged core i7 PC with Win 7 and IE [some version earlier than 10]
At first the dang thing would not get through the install process, throwing errors here and there, so I went into IE's tools and basically shut off all the security features and allowed all of the plug-in run features (w/prompts).
IE griped at me about its vulnerabilities, but the install was successful.
I then went in and gradually turned on the security features and left all of the plug-in warnings on to prompt me for what was about to run.
okay, so I have to hit enter a lot, but only until the session gets on its feet.

Everything works and with 3 cameras and history playback. Still cannot get the SD card storage inside the DCS-5222L's to work...worked at one time but not now.
As I have said elsewhere, this is fiddly picky stuff to get operational but once established fairly robust, even in event of power failures.

I logged into my DNR when I got it with Mac OSX 10.10.5 and Safari. I set it up from the DNRs web page. Gave it a static IP address of 192.168.0.202 and then used the DNRs web UI to configure the DNR and add my DCS-933L and associated with the MDL service.
