My DIR-655 acts as DI-524 - WTF?
« on: January 09, 2010, 06:24:44 AM »

Hi,

Bought a DIR-655 yesterday to replace my old DIR-524. I disconnected the 524 completely, plugged the 655 in, and accessed it via 192.168.0.1. However, after a few minor changes, it rebooted, and when I accessed it again I encountered the old 524 interface!!

After a lot of tweaking, I managed to access the 655 interface again, but only after I created two wireless networks. So now I have two wireless networks based on the same router. The difference between them is which interface you are met with when you access via 192.168.0.1.

Internet functions properly on both networks btw.

Has anyone heard of this problem? And how do I solve it? I would like to have only one active network, and obviously I want the one with 655 interface to remain.

Any help is much appreciated
