Router Model: WBR-1310 Wireless G Router
Hardware Version : rev D1 Firmware Version : 4.00, Tue 11 Apr 2006
So, trying to update firmware did not work as I was unable after multiple attempts to download the update @ ftp://ftp.dlink.com/Gateway/wbr1310/Firmware/wbr1310_firmware_104.bin (http://ftp://ftp.dlink.com/Gateway/wbr1310/Firmware/wbr1310_firmware_104.bin).
OK.
Question: are there any firmware replacements/alternatives available?
Basically I am looking for a few fixes: the time clock does not stay set. I have had this same problem with numerous routers, both linksys and d-link, oldish and new and its just plane annoying when looking at logs/sometimes nulifies the ability to keep logs past a day.
The other fixes I am looking for i know would be available in a newly purchased router but I am hopeing to hold off a few months ;) Our tight wireless security is being breached daily (now that university and college students are back at school), and a few other particulars. Again, trying to hold off a few months before demoteing current systems to a VPN.
Thank you in advance for suggestions!

Hello,
This worked for me. I went to www.dlink.ca, selected the WBR-1310 under the Product Quick Find list, clicked on Support Resources and chose the revision I have. Then click on firmware, download the latest one and upgrade it from the administration GUI page.

wbr1310/Firmware/wbr1310_firmware_104.bin is the wrong link.
You must select REVISION "D" firmware.
the newest is wbr1310_revD_firmware_413.bin
