Please ignore this persons multiple posts and attempts to provoke members through inflammatory comments.

but then, stream directly or not?

If I change the file extension from MKV to for example MP4 will stream it?

The DNS-323 had (has?) a similar incompatibility issue with MKV files. The following thread describes the DNS-323 issue and other compatible video formats: http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=14731.0.

Assuming this issue in the DNS-320 is similar to the DNS-323, then you'll have to convert your videos to another container/codec. See the referenced thread.

Please let us know whether this information helps you.

Hi

I want to buy the DNS-320 and have one doubt.

This UpNp AV server stream HD video MKV? Stream to my samsunc LED 32UEc6000 through Ethernet ?

thx for all
The answer is above. No it wont stream MKV but if you rename to AVI no problem. Only issue is some sound formats will be an issue probably HD ones as the Samsung probably can't decode them.

You successfully streamed MKV files from a DNS-320 to your Samsung TV?

I think it means a samsung galaxy S phone.

Then, if I rename MKV files to AVI should work it?

My Samsung UE32C6000 play all mkv with AC3 and DTS audio tracks through USB but I'm not sure that it works thrrough DNS320 LAN server

Though Samsung TV claims to support MKV format, sometimes Samsung TV won’t play MKV files. This is probably because the codec of MKV is not supported by Samsung TV. As a general user like me, you may not get familiar with various video&audio codecs. So the direct solution is to convert video file to MP4 (H.264/AAC) which is well compatible with Samsung TV.
