I found this.

If you are viewing your camera from a PC on the same local network, your camera's Live View will be at VGA resolution (640 x 400 for DCS-5211L/5222L, 640 x 480 for the rest cameras).

If you are viewing your camera remotely over the Internet, you camera's Live View will be at QVGA resolution (320 x 192 for DCS-5211L/5222L, 320 x240 for the rest cameras).


Then again, i think for $300+ camera to get this results, i dont think its worth buying.

I had the same problem. Support told me it is this way to save bandwidth.
