Changed the settings today

Reserved a new IP address for the camera in my router

Switched the camera to automatic IP instead of static address

Will post again with an update once I see how it goes for a while. Really hope this works

Thanks again for the suggestion

Hello again. My camera dropped it's network connection again, following the settings change. Not sure what to try next....?

Where is the camera located in relation to the router? Please test in the same room first less than 5 feet away from the router first

the camera is less than 2 meters away from the router. Btw I don't have any issue with any other device in the network.

Problem is that I can accept that may lose the connection for few seconds or minutes, but once it happens, there is nothing you can do than to disconnect the power.

If I am somewhere else for a long period it is a big issue because the camera is not reachable.

DCS 5222L running 1.12 firmware.

Thanks

Alienoide, I have a DCS-5222L as well and had issues with it dropping the wifi connection, ended up being a poor internet signal on Mediacomm's cable ..i added a Channel MAster  Distribution amplifier to boost the signal and that helped dramatically. But I have a question; have you tried scheduling a reboot in the camera settings , maybe once a week ? theory being that a scheduled therapeutic reboot would cause the camera to rejoin the wifi, I have considered this, but have not tried it yet...no faith in Dlink's software !

Users might consider there main host routers WiFi signal as well. Some ISP modems/routers with WiFi are not designed to be the best like dedicated WiFi routers. Adding on a signal booster may work however your just amplifying a possible junk source signal. Also users should check out what channels are being used on the main host router and neighboring WiFi for interferences. Channels with other WiFi on the same channel can cause bad WiFi signals as well.

DCS-5222LB1 (firmware 2.03) has this issue too. WiFi lost connection after a schedule rebooting. Reset power will wake it up.

I have tried the advices on this post. change channel, DHCP client / static IP. DAP-1650 is my WiFi access point. I was expected it will be fully compatible between DLink devices.

Hope DLink will release new firmware to fix DCS-5222LB1 Rebooting Lost WiFi Connection issue.

You can roll back to an earlier firmware version if this latest release doesn't meet your expectations.

My DCS-5222l would occasionally indicate a dropped connection message connection on my phone even while it was always connected and available locally on my WiFi network.  Until recently, the "disconnected" state would correct itself, however over the last 3-4 weeks it has not come back online over the broadband network, via the D-link service.  Now the only remedy is to do a hard-boot by physically disconnect the power supply and then reconnecting.  I don't recall the last time I refreshed the firmware, however I'd like to see if it is possible to revert to the prior level - currently the device is at 2.14.04
