Fogged up
« on: November 01, 2020, 04:09:48 PM »

Think I have a fogged up camera that isn't unfogging.

5 hours power outage, temp went from 50s to frezing outside.

Camera started off clear then got foggy from the inside it looks like.

Temp went from 50F to 32F (snow). Was raining earlier during power outage.

I turned on the IR light, not helping much to warm things up.

Warm up and sun coming in a day or 2.

Haven't found any other posts with "fog"

The camera has an IP65 rating so unless housing cracked you should not have fogged up the camera lens. Or that something was not sealed correctly.

Yeah, it was a really bad day temp wise and humidty.

Left it running outside, PIR on, IR on, already streaming 24x7. Helped a little.
Took off back cover and took a hair dryer too it lightly, and put the back cover back on.

Problem solved.

It's been in the sun, 0F, 100F, for more than several years now doing its duty.
