Title: Logs, MAC's, and IP Addresses...
Post by: orangeloon on December 30, 2016, 08:19:03 AM
Seems that since I have a rather simplistic password on my WiFi,  I have a neighbor that saw fit to use my network during the wee hours of the morning.  I have blocked the MAC address and before I make my password complex, I wanted to know if there is a way to determine to where 'they're' browsing.  I have a DIR-880L and near as I can figure out, there is little info in the log that helps but thought I would ask.

Ya the new UI has a bit less of logging features than the older model routers had. The new UI is designed for more simplistic usage. Not sure if tracking browser places can be done with this new UI.

Glad you were able to block your neighbor though. Yes, we recommend a complex or fairly complex wifi PW and use WPA2 Personal security mode setting. Be sure that they don't regain access by them getting the new PW. Don't give it out and make sure any family members don't give it out.  ::)
