Title: Max. DHCP Reservations on COVR-2600R?
Post by: Kezzz on April 20, 2021, 06:09:50 PM
I believe the max. DHCP Reservations on the COVR-2600R is a measly 24 entries.

The thing that really get's to me, is that just NAMING a device (no MAC reservation set) counts as one of those 24 valuable DHCP entries.

And even worse ... you cannot delete an entry to free up one of the 24 slots.  Once you name, set, edit, or delete 24 devices, you are locked out FOR LIFE on that "high-end, advanced" router unless you do a factory reset.

Joy, rapture, who in the world made that executive decision?  I've got 23 D-Link devices on my network (well, some old ones are in closet) as I've been a dedicated customer for over 2 decades, but this kind of thing really sours the thought of continuing with this brand.

Factory reset the router and setup from scratch to clear out old reservations.

Not all devices have to have a reservation. You can setup static IP addresses ON devices vs ON the router with IP reservations.
